I am currently working on two new research projects. Building on the findings of my first book project, my second major research project investigates how various people impacted by the O'ahu Water Crisis engaged with mutual aid, political movements, and military actors in their response to water contamination in their homes. The second project is a digital humanities project, Otherwise Bodies, that investigates how empire has shaped the understanding and treatment of human health through the example of Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. This project will serve as a public-facing curriculum about racism in medicine. You can view the early iterations of the project at https://otherwisebodies.blackbeyonddata.org.
